Time with Grandma, Mom and Aunt Gwen 7/2 - 7/7
I spent a week with these amazing women in Clarkston, WA and it was so inspiring to see them get up at 5am each morning and work in the garden, mow the lawn, water two lawns manually by moving the sprinkler to different areas buy hand. We cooked breakfast together each morning after an amazing morning run along the Snake river. Really special. They were nice enough to each write a little something about our time together. Thank you ladies!!!!
Gwynn: I'm very pleased with what I've learned about the programs that Clinton is planning to create for the many needs of the people in what ever area that he will be stationed for the coming future.
Mom: When Clinton first talked about his venture, I was supportive and excited, but also somewhat concerned. With the political situation in South and Central America, as well as the media reports of discontent and immigration, I feared for his safety. This past week he has clarified his goals and the outcomes he wants to achieve as well as helping me realize that although he is traveling by himself, he is not alone. Clinton stated that he has realized he will be walking with Christ in this venture. Just as in the poem Footprints, there will be times where the Savior will be guiding his decision making and goal setting and at other times will carry him through the various trials and challenges he will be facing. I am very
Grandma: When I first hard of Clinton's plan, I was glad that he wanted to be of service to those who have great needs, BUT I also thought it was a flash in the pan idea. As time went on and I saw that he was full steam ahead in his plans to go to Guatemala and carry out his plan, I was completely impressed with his dedication and commitment. I couldn't be more proud of him and I know that he will have great success.
