A Journey with Purpose: Exploring Central America to Aid Migration Relief
Hello, fellow adventurers! My name is Clinton Lee, and I’m about to embark on an incredible journey from Arizona to Antigua, Guatemala, in my self-built camper van. But this isn’t just a personal adventure; it’s a mission with a deeper purpose. As the co-founder of Brain Aware Inc, I’m dedicated to aiding in migration relief from Central America, beginning in Guatemala. Here’s a bit about my story and why this journey matters.
I am 51 years young and have three adult children and no grandchildren in the foreseeable future. I have retired from technology and I am dedicating the next phase of my life to assisting people that need it to most. I served an LDS mission in Guatemala when I was 18 years old. I am familiar with the country, cultures, traditions and language. We are going to begin in Guatemala but plan on helping as many countries as possible.
The world is in pain, but the migration from Central America to the United states is an issue that has affected us in Arizona for quite a while. I have seen the suffering first hand and know there are a ton of opportunities to help. If we can create more opportunities in the countries that are suffering, people will not feel they need to leave. Everyone wants to love the country they were born in and have country pride, but people also need to be able to eat. Creating new and feasible opportunities in countries will allow people the opportunities they need to make a life in their home country.
